Michael Robert Puccio was born in Smithtown, New York in 1967 where he lived until age 13. In 1985 Mike graduated from Monroe-Woodbury H.S. in Central Valley, NY. He received his B.A. in art in 1989 from Plattsburgh State University, Plattsburgh, NY. This liberal arts college, just south of Montreal, has a strong tradition in art, music, and theatre. He received his M.F.A. in painting from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1991, studying with well-known abstract expressionist painter Gerome Kamrowski. Mike's paintings have been exhibited extensively throughout the United States since 1990. Mike lives in Richmond, VA with his wife Lisa and son Christopher. |
